"Now a new king arose over Egypt, who did not know Joseph." Want to know the consequences that will come upon a nation if just one generation doesn't hear about the truth of God's love and protection? It's already happened in history once...but it can happen in America (and IS happening, in fact) if we're not vigilant in teaching our children and grandchildren the stories of Jesus, helping them to "write on their hearts every word." This Sunday, as Pastor Mike finishes the sermon series, "Reaching Across the Generations," we invite you to join us. It will be thought-provoking, perhaps a little disturbing, but it's what God's Word warns us of...and it can be enlightening to us, and to our country.

"Reaching Across the Generations" -- it's more than just a project. It started with an observation, developed into a passion, and now I know it's a priority that needs to be present in our lives as believers.

You're invited to participate in all the events and activities of Sunrise Mountain. Our members live all over the valley, but we come together to our worship center and Educational facilities located at 8542 W. Deer Valley Road in Peoria, Arizona, easy driving distance from nearly every location in the Phoenix metroplex. We know God answers prayer. He has answered ours so many times. We stand ready to pray with you, pray for you, and be of help to you in any way we can be of service. Our dedicated prayer warriors look forward to it, and we know God is faithful in answering the fervent prayers of righteous people. You can send in your request on the "comment" section of the prayer page, or you can send a private request to prayer@smbcaz.org -- either way we look forward to praying with you.

In 2012 we're going to "follow His lead" in all our endeavors. Do we know exactly where that will lead us? No. But it's in the journey that we find the excitement, because it means we're not going to play God or try to lead Him, we're going to follow Him. It means we're not going to set the agenda or follow a set of programs, we're going to respond to His leading, and accomplish His agenda...in His time...for His glory. Following Him wherever He leads, whenever He directs, and for whatever purpose He He desires. It will be scary sometimes, but it will be exciting. Youre invited to join us, and we hope you will. Following is hard, but following is what He calls us to.
