Deacon ministry at Sunrise Mountain Baptist Church is patterned and based upon the role of deacons in the New Testament ... not a "board of directors," not a bunch of men who "tell the pastor what to do" or a group that every decision of the church must be approved by before it can become "official." -- No, their role is drastically different from that ... they are SERVANTS, assisting servants. They are truly ministers, and we are blessed to have a wonderful group of deacon ministers at SMBC.
